New York Is So Cool!
Well, I've never been, but according to this song it is. (4.7 MB Download) I've been hunting this damned song down for a while. I finally found it via Stereogum.

A Call From An Old Friend.
I got a call from an old friend the other day and it reminded me of a picture I took of her back then for a magazine job I had to do. Anyway, the makeup was done by my other friend Yolanda who eventually went on to invent spray on foundation and start Classified Cosmetics.
When Geeks Protest.
To me, THIS is funny. I have a feeling most of my friends (or people reading this) won't think it's funny, or even get it. Not that that's a bad thing. It keeps my web design business IN business. found via freakgirl

Chicken Dragons of Doom!
I finally got in on Estella's MS Paint "contest." I put that in quotes because it's not really a contest as much as it's a, well, I'm not sure what to call it. Anyway, this time the subject was "Chicken Dragons of Doom complete with Eggs of Doom" and it's really all about Estella's hilarious commentary anyway. Please go there and check it out.

Another Music List is Coming!
It seems that the time is fast approaching for this month's Music List. If anyone out there would like to join in, please let me know in the comments and I'll add you to our mailing list so you can find out post times and list subjects. This will be our third list. We have decided to post on the first Monday of each month, but this next one will be on Tuesday the 7th because of the Monday holiday. It looks like we're doing "Top 10 Most Embarrassing Albums (CDs) ever bought." The bought part is important because it includes anything that you have since thrown or given away because it sucked so bad. So if you want to put a list on your blog, then let me know and be sure to add links to any other blogs that are participating that day.
Let's warm up with a small list I thought of on the way to the studio today. Top five Most Bizzare Songs on My iPod:
5) Funny Little Man - Aphex Twin 4) Departure - Bauhaus 3) I'm Sorry - Inflatable Boy Clams 2) Mini Skirt - Esquivel 1) Digi As Fuck - Future Wives
I have to mention that Future Wives is a side project including Mark Mallman. Some of you in the Minneapolis area may know the name. He happens to be the brother of Brian Mallman, a friend and client of mine. The EP, Dark Side of the Man is very cool, but way on the strange side, which I like.

Better Late Than Never.
This was my post from yesterday, but I had a bad connection and then forgot.
I'm writing this from the pool because I can. Why am I such the dork, that I need to post to my blog from places that seem like unusual places to blog? It must be that generic stock photo in my head of the guy sitting on a tropical island beach with his laptop. I want to be that guy, but all I can get is the pool at my hotel in Palm Springs. Lily and I spent the whole day together as Mommy was in conferences all day. We went swimming twice and ate breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant together. Only distant sightings of Mrs. America contestants today. They must have been busy doing pageant contestant stuff, whatever that means.
