08/30/2004: "Another Music List is Coming!"

It seems that the time is fast approaching for this month's Music List. If anyone out there would like to join in, please let me know in the comments and I'll add you to our mailing list so you can find out post times and list subjects. This will be our third list. We have decided to post on the first Monday of each month, but this next one will be on Tuesday the 7th because of the Monday holiday. It looks like we're doing "Top 10 Most Embarrassing Albums (CDs) ever bought." The bought part is important because it includes anything that you have since thrown or given away because it sucked so bad. So if you want to put a list on your blog, then let me know and be sure to add links to any other blogs that are participating that day.

Let's warm up with a small list I thought of on the way to the studio today. Top five Most Bizzare Songs on My iPod:

5) Funny Little Man - Aphex Twin
4) Departure - Bauhaus
3) I'm Sorry - Inflatable Boy Clams
2) Mini Skirt - Esquivel
1) Digi As Fuck - Future Wives

I have to mention that Future Wives is a side project including Mark Mallman. Some of you in the Minneapolis area may know the name. He happens to be the brother of Brian Mallman, a friend and client of mine. The EP, Dark Side of the Man is very cool, but way on the strange side, which I like.

Uh... OK. No one want to join in in the fun that is the monthly music list? I know you have some bad music to confess to buying.

I want to join your list but I'm no good with music. Can't we have a different kind of list?

Erin, you mean to tell me that you don't have ten records that you're embarrassed to say you have bought in your life? If you want to do a different list, then come up with one and I'll try to make one too. I read your blog a lot and I have a feeling it might have to do with books. I'm not a big reader, but I do have at least ten favorite fiction titles or children's books if that helps.
