02/08/2005: "Robot Killer."

robotatall (74k image)

No robots were harmed in the making of this photograph...
model: Diana Chavez (photogenics)
makeup and hair: Karen Faye
nails: Carla Collier
styling: Maude
retouching: Daniel Ferguson

Well, I did take the poor guy down in front apart (she's holding one of his arms), but he is back together now. This is from a Nailpro "Color Story" and again, looks kinda weird out of context. Anyway, all the robots are from my relatively small collection. Wait, that red guy on the left isn't mine... I think I borrowed a couple from a friend too.

camera/film: Hasselblad ELM, 150mm. Fuji Astia 100F
lighting:Lots of open Speedotron heads with diffusers by Xenophone.

relatively...my ASS! Your collection is one to be admired...I covet it.

Ps, did you know its some kind of robot day today?

Hiphip!

I think the robots and long, silver nails go very well together. If I am ever forced to get long, silver nails (and I would have to be forced), I will also have to get a complimentary robot collection to make it all alright.

That's a really hot, cool photo - if you get me.

Really like your work - if I ever get famous for any dumb reason (liklihood of 0.0000000001%) I'll be employing you as a photographer.

It is also interesting to note that this photograph features the same woman who's eyes are present in the header here on Brook's blog. For some reason, though, her eyes seem to be more compelling and friendly than her "robot-killing" posture. razz

Correct Jon, this is from the same shoot. I'll post the shot that the header is taken from when I come up with a new header image. Soon.

If robots could talk... Wait. Some of them can.

Wait.. she has eyes? Oh wait - up there. I see them now.

Brooks, you have such a rough friggin job. Perhaps now would be a good time to mention that if you ever need an oil-boy assistant for your shoots, I'm available for booking.

I think robots are becoming the new black. And it's about time.

OK, I've changed my header photo so if you still see the old one, try refreshing the page once or twice. It should be the girl with black hair (Rachel) now, not Diana.
