08/19/2004: "Real Stupid."
As many of you might know, I'm a big Macintosh Geek. I use only Apple computer products in my business and at home and also have a weird but common love for my iPod. This brings me to a funny story about Real Networks. See, they have a music store and they want Apple to make the iPod able to play their proprietary music format. In order to show Steve Jobs that the world is on their side, they started an online petition. Well, it hasn't quite worked out like they planned. Seems that almost every one of the signatures is accompanied by an anti-Real comment. Oops. One great point is that Real is crying for "Freedom of Choice" yet their music store only works with Windows. Hypocrites!

I am still a Mac geek at heart, although I haven't been able to afford one for several years. I still have my very first Apple IIE in the basement, though... But I sure do miss that good ol' reliable, non-virus-susceptible, Mac platform. *...sigh...* *...pine...*
