06/17/2004: "iTunes/iPod Roulette v3.0"

When all else fails, do an iTunes Roulette post. Actually, I haven't done one of these for a while, so here it goes. First 15 songs with my library on shuffle. On a completely unrelated note, you must read this great piece of humor by Harold over at Cellar Door.

1) Hey - Jurassic 5
2) Victory - PJ Harvey
3) 1% - Jane's Addiction
4) No Words Necessary - Meat Beat Manifesto
5) Where Even the Darkness is Something to See - Coil
6) I'm Not Afraid - Remy Zero
7) Cover - Kosheen
8) Forsythia - Varuca Salt
9) Naima - Le Double Six
10) Blackout - DMX
11) Jaded - The Crystal Method
12) Glorious Day - Weezer
13) I.I.E. - Gus Gus
14) Evil - 45 Grave
15) Bikini Girls With Machine Guns - The Cramps

So there you have it. I'm still waiting to be royally embarrassed by something in my library. I'm sure some of you out there with no taste think I already have on numerous occasions. You are wrong.

v1.0

Cop out! Here are MY top fifteen, left in your comments section, so I don't have to make a separate post on my site to list them:
1) One More Astronaut - I Mother Earth
2) Apocalypse Please - Muse
3) Alpha Beta Gaga - Air
4) She Has a Girlfriend Now - Reel Big Fish
5) Radiation Vibe - Fountains of Wayne
6) What I Wouldn't Do - Old 97s
7) Da Da Da - Elastica
8) Starry Eyed Surprise - Paul Oakenfold
9) The Ascent of Stan - Ben Folds
10) Glowworm - Apples in Stereo
11) Loitering in the Lobby - Eddie From Ohio
12) The Whole World - Outkast
13) Soft Rock Star - Metric
14) Same Size Feet - Stereophonics
15) More Than a Feeling - Boston

I know, no one wanted to read that. But I wanted to do it anyway. So there.

I applaud you inclusions of Gus Gus and Weezer. Have you heard The Shins??

And thanks for the Cellar Door kudos!

Yes, I've heard of the Shins and I'm sure I've heard their music before, but I don't have any. If I were to download a song (not that I would do anything illegal). What Shins song do you feel would epitomize the band?

Steve. Same question for Old 97s and Eddie from Ohio.

Baha! Funny, I was going to suggest "Turn a Square" or "Young Pilgrim" -- but anything off the Chutes Too Narrow cd is awesome.

Old 97s have a TON of great songs. Some personal favorites: Timebomb, Murder (or a Heart Attack), Buick City Complex, Barrier Reef, and Designs on You. For EFO, same thing. The ones I listen to a lot include: Boomerang, Woman of Faith, Stupid American, Old Dominion (really, anything from the Looking Out the Fishbowl album), One Thousand Sarahs, Quick, and Tommy the Canexican.
