Try to hide your shock, but my name was listed as "very rare"...it didn't have any statistics available.

SHOCKER. Smith happens to be the most common last name...and Jennifer, only the 6th most popular.
I wonder what Jane Doe comes up as?

If my last name is so common, how come no one seems to know how to pronounce it?

Steve is the #74 most common male name, but Steven is #18. I'm going to continue going by Steve for the uniqueness factor. Jacobs is the #231 most common last name, however, so I'm screwed either way.

From one Jennifer to another, I'm right there with ya. It's hard to go for uniqueness when yougrew up in the 80s as a Jennifer.

You realize that you are also both Jennifer Lynns right?
I dated a Jennifer while in the 80's.
I don't know what Megs last mane is so I can't comment, but it can't be as hard to pronounce as Caoimhe.

My name is not hard to pronounce, just impossible to sound out.
Caoimhe said @ 05/28/2004 11:28 AM PST
I guess you're right. For the record, Caoimhe is pronounced keeva. Why do I love telling people that?
