Finger Paint!

Lily and Mommy did a finger painting for me for Fathers Day. It showed great promise, let's just hope she doesn't do the starving artist thing too long.

On another note, Lily decided that Mommy needed a new phone, so she threw her old one into the pool. I hope she doesn't make a habit of killing expensive electronics.

No Fear of the Water!

So on Father's Day, Lily, Marisa, Meghan, and I went for a little drive out to Malibu. It was a late start, but when you burn as easy as I do, that's always the best plan. Anyway, we drove down to Free Zuma and got out to let Lily play in the sand a bit and maybe get her feet wet. We didn't come prepared to swim and after this trip, we'll never do that again. Lily has been to the beach a couple times before, but for some reason she was obsessed with the water this time. She showed no fear and kept running full speed towards the water and we had to keep pulling her up in the air so she wouldn't get soaked. I guess we better teach her to swim soon, because her fearlessness is a little scary.

Summer is almost here!

When I say "summer" I mean that time of year when school gets out, not when it get hot out. That's already happened around here. Lily is pushin' 20 months and she is getting cuter every day. She still has sleep issues, but I'm not the one that gets up in the middle of the night, so I can't really complain. Well, I do wake up, but... Anyway, two more weeks of school and Mommy gets to be at home with Lily all day long. She can't wait as she's been missing Lily a lot having to work full time. Recent things heard coming from Lily: JoJo, she loves JoJo's Circus on the Disney Channel. Roaring noises when she sees a bear or lion. Papa, from her recent visits with Grandpa Doug, and Grandpa Frank. Various animals like Rhino, Camel, Hippo, and others. She doesn't quite say them perfectly, but you know what she's saying. We need to go to the zoo again. We bought the year long membership so we can go anytime we want for free. Oh, and she loves smelling flowers, even though I think she's just going through the motions.
